Sterling Silver Torah Shield TAS, Jacob Rosenzweig, London, England, 1922, Judaica. The shield is made with scroll chased border, applied with two pillars, two ramping lions and a Torah crown topped with a Star of David (all gilt). The center of the shield is applied with The Tables of The Decalogue which open on hinges to reveal a miniature model of a Torah scroll centered with an engine turned Star of David and the Hebrew letter Hei. Also applied with a gilt plaque box with a gilt silver plaque inscribed in Hebrew - Sabbath - on one side and - Passover - on the other. Dedicated in Hebrew below the plaque box. Two vacant pendent shields. Connected with a hanging chain. Fully hallmarked (several times) for London, England, dated 1922, maker mark for Jacob Rosenzweig. 26x20.5cm. 700gr.
