WMF Art Nouveau Prize Cup Trophy, Germany, Circa 1900. This early 20th century WMF silver plated trophy is in the form of a lidded chalice with a floral and foliage base and column, vacant cartouche cup with a detachable lid supporting a silver plated pewter figurine of a male athlete throwing a javelin or of a weightlifter. 
Presentation engraving to cover. Gilt interior. Height: 40cm Marked. some loss of plating, minor dings.
