Stanislaw Gibinski (born 1882 in Rzeszow, died 1971 in Katowice) - Polish painter. He started his professional career at a very young age, he worked in the family of Rzeszow on the railway. His artistic talent was noticed by his superiors, who helped him move to Krakow in 1908. He began studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, he was probably a free listener in the studio of Julian Falat. On September 4, 1914, he joined the Polish Legions, in the ranks of the 6 companies of the 2nd Infantry Regiment of the Second Brigade under the command of General Jozef Haller he participated in the Carpathian campaign, he fought at Rafajlowa , Molodecznem and PrzeleczPantyrska. After the war, he returned to work on the rail, while painting in his free time. He participated in exhibitions organized by the Krakow Society of Friends of Fine Arts, as well as in other national exhibitions.Stanisław Gibinski used watercolor technique, the themes of his paintings were landscapes, rural scenes, hunting and fishermen at work, as well as nature, forests and wetlands. source: Wikipedia.
